有人可以談談在SJSU的課業壓力嗎

我是今年材料系碩士班秋季的新生
目前我已經在學校SAL上課練練英文順便熟悉一下環境
不過還感覺不到什麼課業的壓力
唯一目前讓我苦惱的是
要怎樣才能一次考過WST
有人願意分享一下在SJSU的求學經驗嗎?

前天本來要去找教授談談選課的事
結果辦公室只有一位化工領域的教授在
他建議我第一學期先修個六學分就好
因為以國際學生來說需要一點時間適應這裡的教學模式
但是我的畢業學分要30
加上W200就要33學分才能畢業
第一學期只修六似乎少了點
不知道學長姐有什麼建議嗎?

6 學分？！你是Full Time Student, right?

根據SJSU對F-1 Student的規定，研究所的學生每學期至少要修9學分，大學部至少12學分（除非是最後一學期）

6學分相當於一個禮拜只有兩堂課，真的少了些

也許每個系所的質與量都不太一樣，但這位教授的建議蠻保守的

我念的IT所不需要考WST，因課程PAPER量爆多的，畢業學分36

每學期的分配量預計都是 9 Units（IT畢業的學姊也是如此建議）

Spring 2006 + Fall 2006 + Spring 2007 + Fall 2007，寒暑假完全不修課

嗯, 你說的加退選期限是第一週嗎?
如果只上第一週, 真的很難估計 功課量 與 自己的能耐,

可是, 如果超過第二週加退選,
SJSU 不會扣錢嗎?

(像 SCU 第二週起就只退 75% 的學費)


我覺得, 先修一些基礎課, 相對也比較淺易的課,
這樣就有個緩衝.

Fall 2006 Refund Policy:

A one hundred percent (100%) refund of basic and/or non-resident fees minus a processing fee will be given to students who drop all their classes or withdraw from the university no later than August 11, 2006. Refundable fees include basic registration fees, non-resident fees, course fees, and the miscellaneous SJSU fees. The $20 check processing fee is waived for students that opt for electronic refunds. To sign up for e-refunds, log on to MySJSU and then click on Self Service > Student Center > Online Payments and Account Services > Refunds .

Students who drop units, (but remain enrolled), resulting in a lower fee structure and/or mandatory fee obligation during the designated drop period, August 23 through September 5, 2006, will be entitled to a refund of applicable tuition and mandatory fees. After this date, students who remain enrolled but drop classes resulting in a lower fee category will not be eligible for a refund.

A prorated refund from the first day of instruction, August 23, 2006, up to the 60th percent point in the academic period, October 31, 2006 , will be applied to students who withdraw from the University. The 60th percent point will be equivalent to a 40 percent refund of all registration and campus mandatory fees.

怎樣才能一次考過WST?
靠英文能力跟運氣吧
多考幾次就會過了,我有朋友考了11次才過
也聽過有白人沒過的,所以不必太在意
但是WST一年沒幾次,不要到最後被WST
限制了你的選課,拖延了你的畢業時間
至於修課,建議你找認識的朋友一起上,這樣有問題
才能互相討論,比起一個人單打獨鬥好很多
拿課建議你多問問同學,看看老師的教學方法
跟你合不合
去看看老師的評比吧

10th parking garage 一樓 larc 有tutor可以幫你改文章.寫好去那邊給他們改聽聽意見也是不錯.
多閱讀多寫..因該考wst沒捨摸問題.

考一次沒過也沒關西多考幾次有經驗就會過了
