I went to Traffic School last Saturday from 8:30 to 5 and here are some of the updates that I'd like to share with commuters so that you won't pay Uncle Sam anymore or spent a beautiful day for a boring lecture. 3 G' u/ x! X; H! Q- K
4 C) `. S- d& w( B9 q* W1. Carpool lane - 1st time $1068.50 starting 1/1/06 (NOT $271, posts on the highway are old). Don't do it again because 2nd time is going to be double. 3rd time triple, and 4th time license suspended. , x* E# U- g" Z5 V j6 x
2. Incorrect lane change $380. Don't cross lane on solid lanes or intersection

+ R& q) g/ Y# ], n" Z4. Driving on the shoulder - $450 ( e* b; ]+ T1 ~" g1 ~( I
5. Cell phone on the construction zone. - Double fine
% ?/ n* Q1 L" e3 x' ~6. Passengers over 18 not on the seatbelts - both passengers and drivers get ticket `& z J: b9 M# a
7. Speeders can only drive 3 miles above the limit. A classmate drive 71 MPH on 280 and got ticket. 3 J5 V+ c5 ^3 d, H
8. DUI = JAIL

Just for your curiosity, I got the ticket because of rolling stop at the Stop sign where cops were hiding behind a bridge. # H1 H- L, @/ L! @
