Dear Friend:

Taiwan has more than 800 Starbucks stores few years ago. How come they do not know Taiwan is not part of PROC? Can their foreign manager go to Taiwan without Taiwan visa?
This is just a simple question.
Please take action.

抗議步驟:

1. 到下列網址:

http://www.starbucks.com/customer/contact_forms.asp

2. 填姓名跟email (住址跟電話可以不填)

3. 在message欄寫抗議信,以下是範本:

Dear Starbucks,

In the sign up page of your website, you mistakenly list Taiwan as "Taiwan, Province of China", which indicates that Taiwan is part of China. Would you please remove "Province of China" from the list and let Taiwan be Taiwan?

Taiwan is an independent country with its own government, presidential elections, currency, army, and defined territory. Anyone wish to come to Taiwan has to be issued vista by Taiwan government but not by China. Taiwan negotiates its own treaties with the United States. Chinese account for only 14% of the population in Taiwan (Taiwanese 84%, Chinese 14%, indigenous 2% as listed in CIA-the world factbook: https://www.cia.gov/library/publ ... ctbook/geos/tw.html).

So, again, would you please remove "Province of China" from Taiwan in the list? Or we will start a Starbuck-boycott movement that is what we don’t want to see.

Thank you for your concern.

成功的一步

Hello,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write to us.

As you mentioned in your email, Taiwan was previously labeled "Taiwan, Province of China" on the store locator system on Starbucks.com in deference to International naming conventions. Starbucks prefers not to take a position on political issues, however the system has been adjusted and the store locator is now labeled "Taiwan."  We apologize for any frustration this may have caused you.

If you have any further questions or concerns that I was unable to address, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks again,

Allison F.
