Dear BATS and TSA,

I'm a Service coordinator at Amistad House, an affordable housing residence for seniors and disabled in Berkeley (Delaware and Shattuck). I am desperately trying to find people who would like to volunteer an hour or two of their time each month (or whatever they can spare) to interpret
for my Mandarin-speaking elders.

One or two times each month, I organize educational events at the residence, such as health clinics or injury prevention. I feel terrible that our Chinese residents can't really understand the presentations -- but they are great: They still attend and try to understand the important information.

The residents are sweet people. The hours/days are flexible. If there are some people who would like to be "on-call" interpreters, that'd work too!
