大家好I am a new graduate student of Spring

我最近有收到學校寄來的正式錄取信件
我也已經有我的UserID & Password
但我現在完全一頭霧水不知道該如何選課及註冊
前幾天我有寫信給系所的coordinator
不過不知道是不是因為假期完全沒有回音
我現在很擔心自己進入新的學習環境是否能適應
註冊的問題就已經令我不知所措
另外前幾天有看到學校網上學校好像有一個新生的接待會在January 20th, 2007
我也不知道究竟需不需要參加
想請教一下各位學長學姊第一學期研究所課程究竟該如何註冊

要是我沒記錯, 要1 月 2 號後才能選課, 現在選課系統是關起來的。
校園現在沒有開, 要 1 月 2 號後職員才會回來上班。

選課要去
http://my.sjsu.edu/  (按 Log On Here)
然後是你的 user name & pwd.  username 應該是 00 或 W 開頭;
現在大概是 005 or 006 了吧。

如果這是你第一次在美國唸書, 非常建議你參加新生訓練,
他們會告訴新生一些選課啦, 保險啦之類的事....

要帶證件去, passport, I-94(入關US後給的白色卡), I-20 ...... 等。
他們會收去複印。

mysjsu 在06秋天的時候又大改了一番, 可能跟你爬文的內容不一,
多到處點點看看嘍。

What's your major? You might want to get in contact with the graduate advisor of your department regarding the course structure. Different departments have different course structures and rules. If you are not sure, you can register for whatever class which might interest you and drop it later on. Any class can e drop within the first week of school session without any penality.

As for new student orientation. if you can make it, it's good. If you can't make it, don't worry about it either. It's not required to attend. Just remember to check in with international student office with your I-20 when you arrive.
