Job Description

Platform Engineering Pre-Silicon Tasks:

-     Define requirements for hardware, Firmware, API software.

-     Work with System/IC design teams for developing test plans and characterizing/qualifying new products.

-     Support FPGA validation before tape out by performing system tests, host interface tests, boot loader tests, FW/SW integration tests

-     Develop bench ATE



      Platform Engineering Post-Silicon Tasks:

-          Design evaluation boards for characterization and customer sampling.

-          Write data sheets, Application notes, Customer test reports, hardware design package

-          BOM optimization, alpha customer support

-          FW/SW integration and test, QA and Customer Release

-          Support host target platform integration and test
Required Skills

    Knowledge on RF, mixed-signal, digital IC test/characterization and application circuit/PCB design.
    Good communication, documentation, and data analysis skills.
    BSEE required, MSEE preferred.

Required Experience
Knowledge & experience on TV tuner/demodulator ICs used in Terrestrial TV and Cable industry.
Experience with international standards used for testing Broadcast TV, Cable Set Top Box, Cable Gateways, Cable Modems, EMTAs, Cable DTAs
Experience with customer support is a plus
Experience in the semiconductor IC test/characterization area desirable.
