OVT - Sr. Applicaton​s Engineer - Sensor

Job Description
Primarily responsible for evaluating and improving product image quality to help customers solve various system-level applications issues.
  
Responsibilities:

Sensor Verification: Works closely with design team to verify each function of the sensor, evaluating image quality to see if it meets the design target and application requirements and identifying alternate solutions if issues can’t be addressed by design.

Sensor Reference Design: Designs testing and standard demo boards, reviews customer designs, makes special reference design based on customer’s requirement and checks EMI/EMC performance.

Sensor Tuning: Provides demo reference settings to optimize sensor, performs sensor tuning based on customer’s requirements, makes and maintains datasheet and application notes and delivers useful, accurate information to customer on how to use the sensor.

Directs customer support and help FAEs support their customers, helping customers set up and troubleshoot their systems and providing onsite customer support.

Provides FAE training for sensor algorithm/FPGA evaluation, production support, sales and marketing materials and demo support

Desired Skills & Experience
• Minimum of five years plus of experience in CMOS camera applications, including hands-on experience with CMOS imagers in application test and design and helping customers solve various system level application issues

• Knowledge of sensor architecture, image and color processing, evaluation and improvement of image quality and hardware is required

• Experience with software tool development, system level design and debug, FPGA and MCU firmware development is a plus

• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% of the time

• BSEE, related degree or equivalent work experience
