New College Graduate Position from Altera

As an Applications Engineer, New College Grad, you will:

•Provide technical engineering support to customers using Altera FPGA devices, Software and IP products
•Provide design evaluations and recommendations and supporting design-win activities
•Design and create example designs and system-level reference designs
•Participate on technical engineering projects, from planning through implementation phase
•Develop and/or deliver technical presentations to customers, both internal/external
•Develop specialization in key technology areas (e.g. Design Optimization, Timing Closure, High Speed Serial Interfaces, External Memory Interfaces)
•Provide feedback to R&D Engineering to help define future product improvements and requirements
•Participate in product characterization and roll-out, block reviews, functional task forces, and collateral development
The successful candidate's minimum qualifications will include the following:

•BS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with focus in digital systems design
•Expertise in FPGA / ASIC design with Verilog and/or VHDL, standard EDA flows and Synthesis and Verification tools, and system design
•Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills and an ability to drive issues to closure
•Strong interpersonal, leadership, written and verbal communication skills
•Strong teamwork and creativity skills
